Mercury charges a currency conversion fee of 3% on all Mercury business debit and IO transactions that are made in currencies other than USD. This includes non-USD ATM withdrawals.
How to view your currency conversion fees
Whenever you make a business Debit or IO purchase in a currency other than USD, Mercury will add a fee entry to your Transactions page. You can also select the purchase transaction to view the original currency, original amount, converted amount, and the 3% fee incurred as a linked transaction.
If you have multiple fee transactions, selecting one will display the associated purchase on which the fee was incurred in the details panel that opens to the right.
Summaries of your total fee spending can be accessed via your Credit page, by selecting a Checking account that has debit cards associated with it and on your Credit Card Statements. The transactions page can also be filtered by Fees for convenience.
Conversion fees, limits and IO Cashback
Currency conversion fees charged on purchase will not impact individual card limits. They do however apply against your overall borrowable credit for your business. Fees do not factor into IO Cashback rewards.
