Note: Past performance does not guarantee future results. All investments involve risk and potential for loss.

How do deposits and withdrawals work?

Deposits: When you add money into your Investment Account, its automatically invested based on your selected portfolio allocation. Deposits that arrive before market close are typically invested the same day;those made after market close are processed the next business day.

Withdrawals: When you withdraw money, we sell your investments based on your current portfolio allocation. After the sale, it typically takes 1-3 business days for the funds to settle and appear in your account.

What fees are associated with Investment Accounts?

Mercury charges a low advisory fee of 0.10% per year (10 basis points) on the assets in your investment account.

  • The fee is accrued daily and charged monthly.
  • It’s automatically deducted from your account at the beginning of the next month.

Example:

If you invest $50,000 on March 10th, your fee would be about $3.01 based on 22 days of management, and assuming the net market value of your assets remains constant at $50,000 during this period

  • Daily fee rate: (0.10% / 365) = 0.00000274 (or 0.000274%)
  • Fee calculation: (Daily fee rate) × (Daily Asset value) × (Number of days managed)
  • March fee: (0.10% / 365) × $50,000 × 22 = $3.01

Note: The underlying ETFs in your portfolio (like SGOV and VTI) also have built-in fees commonly referred to as “expense ratios”. These are included in the fund’s price – not charged separately.

Is there a minimum deposit required to get started?

Nope. There’s no minimum to open or fund your Investment Account. We will take advantage of fractional shares to invest available funds according to your selected portfolio allocation.

Do you offer trust or retirement accounts or (eg IRA, Roth, 529)?

We only offer individual brokerage accounts at this time. If you are interested in other types of accounts, please let us know at personal@mercury.com. Your feedback helps us shape what we build next.
