Team role for Accounting Partner


Your client chose what role to invite you to within their Mercury account. The most common choice for an accountant is a configurable Accountant role. For any user sending money, you can set up approval policies to ensure transactions go through approval. You can configure your approvals for certain dollar amounts and require specific admins to approve. See our dedicated support article here.

To change a team member's role:

  1. Go to your User settings
  2. Find the team member's name in the list, and click it to open their details
  3. In the upper right corner of their details card, click the three dots and choose Edit User Permissions from the menu
  4. You'll be able to change their role or edit individual permissions from within the details card
  5. Click Save Changes to lock in the change. If you're trying to make someone an admin and need another admin to approve, it may say "Request Approval"
