Mercury for Accountants partners can earn bonuses for referring new clients to Mercury. There are two separate referral tracks — the self-serve referral link in your Advisor Portal, and a custom partnership landing page set up by the Partnerships team. This article covers how each one works, what you can earn, and how payouts are processed.
How to refer a client with your Advisor Portal referral link
Every Mercury for Accountants partner firm gets a unique referral link in the Advisor Portal. To refer a client:
- Open your Advisor Portal on web
- Go to the Referrals tab
- Copy your firm's unique referral link at the top of the page and share it with the client you want to refer, or invite them by email from the same page
- Once the client's account is approved, invite them to join your firm's Advisor Portal — only Advisor Portal Managers can invite clients
Your referral is only credited to your firm if the client applies through your unique referral link.
