Mercury cards default to expiring 6 years from the creation date. However, you can also choose the specific date on which you want a card to expire when creating a new card.
How to set a custom expiry date on a card
- Head to your Cards page in Mercury and click Create Card
- When entering the details for the card you’re creating, scroll to the bottom and just before you select Create Card check the expiration box to create a custom expiry
- From here all you need to do is enter the exact expiration date for the card and then proceed with issuing it and your card is good to go
Note: Merchant locked cards can also have custom expiry dates on them - which means you can trial services for a specific period of time without needing to worry about ongoing charges once the trial period has ended.
The Mercury Debit Cards are issued by Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC, pursuant to licenses from Mastercard®.
