If you think a card has been lost or stolen, you can easily freeze it from your Mercury dashboard to give yourself some time to look. If you don't end up finding it, you can fully cancel the card and create a new one.
Freezing a card allows you to pause usage temporarily. Canceling a card is more permanent, and you won’t be able to reactivate the same card number later if you change your mind.
Here's how to do it:
- In the Cards tab, click on the card you want to freeze or cancel to open the card details.
- To freeze the card, select Freeze next to the snowflake icon.
- To cancel the card, select More and then Cancel from the drop down menu.
