Sending domestic payments

You can easily create a new payment from your Mercury dashboard or mobile app.

Creating a payment from your dashboard

  1. On your Mercury dashboard, go to the Move Money menu in the upper left and select Send.
    You can also go to your Payments page from the left hand menu and select Create Payment near the top of the page.
  2. Select, invite or create a recipient.
  3. When filling out the Payment Details section, select your payment type (ACH, check or wire) from the dropdown.
  4. Follow the prompts on screen to set up the payment (i.e. amount, source, purpose).
  5. You’ll be asked whether you want to send the payment immediately or select a date to schedule an upcoming payment.
    If you toggle “Repeat this payment,” you can set up a recurring payment that will automatically process on a schedule of your choosing.
  6. Review the payment details and click Send Payment.
    From your Review screen, you can optionally enter an email address (your own or someone else) to send an email receipt when the payment processes.

Creating a payment from the Mercury app

  1. Tap the middle  icon on the of your bottom menu bar, then tap Send.
  2. Select your recipient. You can either select an existing recipient or add a new one.
    1. If you already have their payment details, select Add new recipient, otherwise, you can Invite recipient to request they provide payment details themselves.
  3. Select your payment type, which account you want to send from, and how much you want to send.
  4. Review and confirm your payment details and then you’re good to go.
