Your Payments page makes it easy to create, track, and manage both payments and bills. This article covers what you’ll see on the page, how to use the tabs, and where to manage settings like bill forwarding.
Overview of the Payments page
Your Payments page includes tabs that help you manage each step of your payment process:
- Inbox: Forward or uploaded bills that haven’t been queued for approval, scheduling, or paid yet
- Needs Approval: Payments awaiting admin review based on your approval rules
- Scheduled: Payments that have been approved and scheduled
- Paid: Completed payments that have been successfully sent
In each tab, you can Filter the list by Status (e.g. Overdue, Due in the next 7 days, Missing due date, etc.).
Depending on your role, you’ll see different options when you click into a payment:
Admins can:
- Review payment details
- Approve or Delete a payment pending approval
Submitters can:
- Edit payment details
- Cancel requests
Initiating payments
You can initiate payments in two main ways:
1. Send money (without attaching a bill)
Use this to send funds directly to a recipient. Click Send Money at the top of the Payments page to:
- Search for an existing recipient or add a new one
- Enter an amount and payment method
- Schedule or send immediately
2. Upload bill
If you have a bill you want to attach, click Upload Bill instead. We automatically scan the bill and extract details using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to fill out payment details. Once uploaded, the bill will appear in your Inbox and can be reviewed, approved, and scheduled.

Setting up bill forwarding
To save time, you can forward bills by email so they automatically land in your Inbox.
Finding your bill forwarding email
Your bill forwarding email appears at the top of the Payments page, next to the gear icon. You can click to copy or select the gear icon to edit the address if needed. Forwarded bills will appear in your Inbox and follow your normal approval flow once they have been reviewed.
Payments settings
Click the gear icon to access your Payments settings, where you can manage:
- Bill forwarding email: View or copy your custom email address
- Approval rules: Set thresholds for when admin approval is required
- Approved senders: Prevent emails from unknown senders from being auto-processed
- Accounting sync: Connect your accounting software to speed up reconciliation
