If a Mercury customer sends you a payment or requests your payment details, you may see an option to create a Mercury Recipient Profile. A Recipient Profile lets you track incoming payments, save your payout details, and generate invoices without opening a full Mercury account.
This article explains what a Recipient Profile is, how to set one up, and what you can do with it.
What is a Mercury Recipient Profile?
A Mercury Recipient Profile is a lightweight account for people who receive payments from Mercury customers. With a Recipient Profile, you can:
- View incoming and past payments
- Save and manage your payout details
- Generate and share invoices for free
- Upgrade to a full Mercury account at any time
A Recipient Profile does not include access to checking and savings accounts, cards, or other full account features.

Once complete, you’ll be taken to your Mercury Recipient Profile dashboard where you can view and track incoming payments. If you have questions about the available payment options, reach out to the payment requestor.
If you already have a Recipient Profile
If your email is already associated with a Recipient Profile, you’ll be prompted to log into your account and verify payment details before funds are sent.
