Using your Mercury debit card at ATMs

You can use your Mercury debit card to withdraw cash at compatible ATMs. This article explains ATM withdrawal limits, possible fees, and why you can’t deposit cash into your Mercury account.

ATM fees and compatibility

  • Some ATM operators may charge a separate convenience or operation fee that Mercury does not control
  • If you withdraw cash in a currency other than USD, Mercury charges a currency conversion fee — learn more here
  • Mercury debit cards only work at ATMs that support chip entry, not magnetic stripe-only ATMs due to higher fraud risk

Cash withdrawal limits

You can withdraw up to $1,000 per card per business day, with a maximum of $3,000 total per day across all cardholders.

Example: If 6 of your 7 cardholders each withdraw $500 in one day, the 7th cardholder won’t be able to withdraw any more funds that day, even though they haven’t hit their individual limit. The account-wide $3,000 daily cap applies.

How to check or change your limit:

  1. Go to your Cards page
  2. Click on the card you want to update
  3. Select the More button and click Edit Limit
  4. Review or adjust the cash withdrawal limit (up to $1,000)

Cash deposits with Mercury

Mercury doesn’t support cash deposits as we don’t currently operate ATMs or partner with brick-and-mortar banks. To fund your account, use a check, ACH transfer, or wire instead.

The Mercury Debit Cards are issued by Choice Financial Group, Column N.A., and Evolve Bank & Trust, Members FDIC, pursuant to licenses from Mastercard.
