Once you order a physical Mercury card, it’s typically shipped by first-class mail and isn’t trackable. This article explains standard shipping timelines, what to expect during delivery, and how to order a replacement if your card doesn’t arrive.
Shipping timelines
Cards are shipped via USPS (for U.S. addresses) or Deutsche Post (for international addresses). Shipping times may vary and be extended depending on the destination, season (e.g. holidays), and local delivery conditions:
- U.S. addresses: Typically arrive in 1-2 weeks
-
International addresses: Typically arrive in 2-3 weeks
What to expect once a card is shipped
- Cards arrive in a white envelope with the Mercury logo and name on the back
- The return address is from New Jersey or Poland, depending on your location
- The envelope is addressed to the cardholder
Note: If you’re sending your card to a registered agent’s address, delivery may be delayed. Registered agents need to sort and forward mail, which can add extra time.
How to order a replacement card
- On web, click Cards in the left sidebar
- Select the card that hasn’t arrived
- Click More > Order replacement
- Enter a reason (for our records) and confirm or update the mailing address
Before requesting a replacement, make sure your address is correct and formatted properly:
- Avoid accents, punctuation, or non-Roman characters
- If possible, compare to any previously successful delivery addresses. You can see which address a card was sent to by checking your confirmation email titled: “Your physical debit card is on the way and your virtual card numbers are ready to use.”
FAQs
Can I change the address after my card has shipped?
No. Once a card is in transit, it can’t be rerouted. You’ll need to order a replacement card, where you can enter a new address. The original will be canceled automatically.
If you’ve already ordered two replacements and still haven’t received your card, please contact our support team for further help.
Can I expedite my card shipment?
You can expedite shipping for IO (credit) cards for an additional fee. Expedited shipping is not currently available for debit cards, which follow standard delivery timelines.
Expedited IO card delivery typically takes:
- U.S. & Canada: 5-7 business days
- International: 1-2 weeks
Shipping fees are shown during card issuance and vary based on the delivery destination.
Can I issue myself or a team member a metal card?
Metal cards are available as an upgrade for IO cards only. When issuing a physical card, you’ll see the option to upgrade to a metal card for a fee, which will be shown during card creation.
Can I track my card?
Most cards are shipped via standard mail and don’t include tracking. Tracking is only available if you selected priority shipping when issuing the card.
To check the status of your card, go to your Cards page and select the recently issued card—there you’ll see the latest available updates.
The Mercury Debit Cards are issued by Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC, pursuant to licenses from Mastercard ®. The IO Card is issued by Patriot Bank, N.A., Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Mastercard International Incorporated.
