Holidays and bank closures

Mercury and our partner banks observe U.S. federal holidays. When a holiday falls on a business day, payment processing and support will resume the next business day.

Note: This may cause delays for incoming and outgoing scheduled wires, ACH transfers, checks, and other transactions.

Holidays Mercury observes

  • New Years Day (January 1st)
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Third Monday of January)
  • President’s Day (Third Monday of February)
  • Memorial Day (Last Monday of May)
  • Juneteenth (June 19th)
  • Independence Day (July 4th)
  • Labor Day (First Monday of September)
  • Indigenous Peoples’ Day (Second Monday of October)
  • Veterans Day (November 11th)
  • Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November)
  • Christmas Day (December 25th)

If a holiday falls on a weekend:

  • Holidays on Saturday are observed the Friday before
  • Holidays on Sunday are observed the following Monday
