You will receive a custom cashback rate of 2.5% on eligible advertising spend (MCC 7311) for up to $3,000 in total cashback earned. Cashback is automatically credited to your linked checking account when your monthly repayment is processed. If you make an early payment (full or partial), you’ll receive cashback proportional to the amount paid.
Eligible advertising purchases are determined by the associated Merchant Category Code (MCC). Only transactions classified under MCC 7311 (Advertising Services) qualify for the promotional cashback rate. Eligible advertising purchases include merchants like Facebook, Google, TikTok, Amazon, Snap Inc, LinkedIn, Apple, Twitter, PayPal, Reddit, Pinterest, and Yelp.
To qualify for this promotion:
- You must be a new Mercury customer or an existing Mercury customer who has not yet activated their IO account.
- You must be eligible for IO.
- Your IO card must be activated between September 15, 2025, and October 31, 2025.

This offer is only available on qualifying purchases made within 120 days of IO* account activation. After the 120-day promotional period ends or the $3,000 cashback cap is reached, whichever comes first, your cashback rate will revert to the IO cards standard rate of 1.5%.
Your Mercury accounts must be open and in good standing to receive cashback. Cashback rewards may be forfeited if your account is closed or pending closure based on a violation of any applicable terms. Mercury may modify or terminate the cashback program at any time, and any promotional offers or other changes will be communicated by email or on our website.

Activate your IO card between September 15, 2025, and October 31, 2025 and the promotion will be automatically applied.
To activate IO:
You can determine if your Mercury account qualifies for IO by going to your Credit Card page. If you qualify, you’ll be prompted to set up your IO account and card. If not, you’ll see instructions to apply. If qualified, activate your card by following the instructions here.

To confirm cashback:
You can view your monthly cashback on your Credit Card page. The total cashback received for the month will appear in green. Click the amount to open your Transactions page, where you’ll see a filtered list of all cashback deposits.
