Mercury cannot accept P.O. Box addresses or virtual offices/workspaces as a company’s legal address. In order to maintain full access to your Mercury account, you must have a non-P.O. Box address listed as your company’s legal address. Registered agent addresses are acceptable legal addresses, but it should be noted that you cannot use a registered agent as a physical or mailing address. If you do not have a valid legal address on file, access to your Mercury account may be temporarily restricted. We are unable to make exceptions to this policy.
To confirm or update your company’s legal address
- Log in to your Mercury account.
- Click on your company name in the top left, and then click Settings. This will open your Company Profile.
- Confirm your “Company legal address” is a non-P.O. Box address, or select Contact Support to Update and fill out the support request when prompted.
- The address must be a physical address in the United States (e.g. the address on your company formation documents, an office location, etc). If you have a non-US entity account with us, the address requirements remain the same, but we can accept a new address in your country of formation.
- Make sure to have your new formation documents, or equivalent, confirming the legal address change. Our team will send you a secure link to send these to Mercury after the initial request is created.
If you experienced a failed wire due to having a P.O. Box address, you will need to resend the wire after your address is updated.
