If you added a new or additional Doing Business As (DBA) name or trade name since opening your Mercury, you’ll need to update your company profile before you can accept transfers or payments under that name.
To start the process of adding your DBA, a beneficial owner (BO) on the account will need to initiate this process.
Adding your DBA
- Log in to your Mercury account.
- Click on your name in the top left, and then Settings. This will open your Company Profile.
- Find the section that says Doing Business As (DBA) and click Add.
- Enter your DBA name and upload the official, filed DBA document, and click
- Make sure it’s a scanned paper copy, as we can’t accept screenshots from Secretary of State or other 3rd party websites as proof.

Once you submit, your request will be pending. Someone from our team will respond to let you know when your DBA document has been successfully added.
